The American Psychology Association claims that at-least 30 percent of Americans are in a state of extreme stress, while over 50 percent have said their stress is continuing to increase and has increased over the past 5 years. On top of that, 43 percent of those stressed say they overeat or eat to deal with the stress. 36 percent say they skip meals because of stress. The 39 percent who drink, and the 19 percent who smoke, said they engaged in those habits (smoking/drinking) more when stressed. Based on the statistics, I think people need ways to reduce stress.
