On Monday, I received a call and exciting news for Arizona on a Constitutional Candidate running for election in Arizona Congressional District 9, Martin Sepulveda. With election 2012 grabbing the attention of voters and Patriots around the Country, the seat for the President isn’t the only one in dispute. Around the Country, Constitutional Candidates are being elected and placed against establishment Republicans and establishment Democrats in an effort for true Liberty Candidates and a REAL approach to the economic situation created by BIG government. Many individuals are tired of voting down the party line (thankfully), and are now returning to voting on issues. The surprising call I received, was not with a secretary, or an office, but a direct phone call with Martin Sepulveda, a seventh generation Arizonan and Veteran who proceeded to answer my questions. See, I sent out emails and calls to many of the various campaigns on three issues: Federal Reserve Fiat Currency, Keynesian “philosophy”, and Trillions of Dollars in Debt Anti-Rights bills such as NDAA Indefinite Detention, Patriot Act, CISPA, HR 347 Bringing the Troops home, Endless & Unconstitutional War, Massive economic cost Some of the campaigns responded back with emails, others not at all, and one with [...]

Chronic Cardio and the Cortisol Conundrum
“The first signal I had that something was wrong was when I developed debilitating osteoarthritis in my ankles…at age 28. This was soon coupled with chronic hip tendonitis and nagging recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. In retrospect, it is clear now that my carbohydrate-fueled high-intensity aerobic lifestyle was promoting a dangerous level of continuous systemic inflammation, was severely suppressing other parts of my immune system and the increased oxidative damage was generally tearing apart my precious muscle and joint tissue” Mark Sisson on Chronic Cardio, Author of the Primal Blueprint Marathon cardio, chronic cardio, traditional cardio, ect… is defined as long stretches of steady state movement at an above-average heart rate or intensity (some say 75%, some say a little lower/greater). Regardless, intensity is often at a consistent heart rate which is often times monitored. [For what it's worth, whenever I see people running on pavement/cement, they seem to really be hurting. This holds especially true when doing some sort of marathon cardio. The pain could be an exact sign of what's going on inside. Running on grass or a dirt path (clear of tripping rocks) should be more comfortable on joints ] The Problem With Marathon Cardio: The problem with traditional chronic [...]
Sprint Exercise for Fat Loss
“ The times call for courage. The times call for hard work. But if the demands are high, it is because the stakes are even higher” -Henry Hazlitt Sometimes the most effective strategies are the least used. I’d go as far as to say that most of the time, people avoid the most effective strategies, often because of 3 factors: Difficulty Time Unorthodox Difficulty: The most effective strategy is too hard. It requires too much effort at once or is too hard. People would rather put in a moderate to low amount of effort over a much longer period of time, often for less results. People don’t like getting out of their comfort zone. Time: The most effective strategy either takes too long for their comfort zone, or it’s too short. People are conditioned to believe that the biggest rewards require long amounts of time, so not only do they avoid long periods of time because of difficulty, but also short effective work because of the absurdity. Unorthodox: The most effective strategy often takes a route that people aren’t used to. It often requires that people alter their mindset; it requires that someone stands out and becomes unique. [Looks like the perfect environment for sprint training] [...]
Fasting and Dieting, The Fight for Fat Loss and Muscle
As recent Research has pointed out , present men’s testosterone levels have dropped significantly, up to 1 percent a year, when compared to men of the same age in past decades. That means a 30 year old man in 1990 could expect to have up to a 22% higher level of testosterone than a 30 year old man in 2012. Testosterone is responsible for more than just men and muscle, as is perpetuated constantly by the media, specifically important processes related to energy levels, focus and motivation, disease processes and health, muscle function and muscle mass, bone mass, and libido. And not just in men, testosterone plays a role and contributes to these key processes in women. Fitness and Health experts Brad Pilon of Eat Stop Eat and Rusty Moore of Visual Impact created a great piece on the relationship between fasting, dieting, and testosterone, and they raised a very important question (s) which this post is based on: Does fasting and dieting dictate a choice between fat loss and muscle? Or is fasting without losing muscle a possible pathway? Long term calorie deficits and higher levels of body fat both contribute to lower testosterone levels, among other negative health effects. This is one reason intermittent [...]
