The Great Firewall of China, always seen as something so wrong, something so against liberty and the rights of every human, and something so far away from American ideals set forth by the Founders, seems to have a new brother in the making, The Great Firewall of America. For those of you who did not know, the great firewall of China symbolizes the aggressive censorship of the internet displayed by the Chinese Government, and the aggression against human rights of speech and protest. It’s nasty and it has even gone as far as to limit or shut down websites, severely limit or shut down social media, and censor any information considered slanderous against the State and any other claimed interests. Michael Schmidt and the Stand for Raw Milk in Ontario
For over three weeks, Raw Milk in Ontario has attracted loads of support due to Canadian farmer Michael Schmidt participating in a personal food strike in support of not only raw milk in Ontario, but also the idea of freedom of food Michael Schmidt and Raw Milk could be what gets the Canadian Premier to have a serious discussion over food freedom. And that request, to meet with the Premier over freedom of food, is the only response Schmidt has been asking for. That’s a request that shouldn’t require a food strike as far as I’m concerned, but obviously the elected officials think otherwise. Thanks to many supporters of Raw milk in Ontario, it is known that Michael Schmidt has unfortunately lost about 30 pounds, and is starting to look very weak, obviously raising the importance of an act by the leadership in Ontario and a serious discussion about the legality of illegalizing a food. He is consuming only water, and is even avoiding raw milk as part of the strike. The Health of Our Freedom
If you’re a consistent reader here, you probably understand the benefits of pursuing personal health, but these days I can’t help but think, there’s one question I haven’t been asking enough here. And it’s not about how healthy I, or you am. It’s how healthy is your Freedom? “Living, Not Surviving” started off as just a site about health, but within my other passion of politics, I realized that the growing threat to our liberties and our rights was too big to just ignore on my own site, and too important to not share with my readers. Over the transition between being just a health website, and becoming something more centered around liberty and health, I grew more confident in the idea that liberty, or freedom, is the basis and foundation of everything I and everyone else love. Why is Raw Milk Illegal? Recently, I wrote an article on Freedom of Food and what I think that means, also mentioning a Wisconsin Judge who declared that Americans do not have the right to choose what they eat or what foods they can produce, based on a court case dealing with Raw Milk farmers. The first release I saw on this article originated HERE, and I will now continue this coverage based off THIS ARTICLE, which has brought to light the fact that the Judge Patrick Fiedler of Wisconsin, who originally ruled against Raw Milk farmers, the citizens of the United States, and the Constitution, has now retired to work for a law firm that has represented Monsanto. Toni Atkins AB 499 vs. Parental Rights
AB 499 , recently signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown of California and sponsored by Assemblywomen Toni Atkins, allows minors to receive the HPV vaccine Gardasil without any parental consent, agreement, or signature. Yes, you read that right. Now, in the state of California, minors of certain age groups are allowed to receive a Gardasil vaccine without their parents consent. Now, you and I, as well as everyone else, know that these vaccines are going to be pushed in ads and in schools. I had advertisements all around the lunch room in my school, and in most cases, I’m fine with this. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Advertising, or selling a product. I think Capitalism is the best type of system there is and is at the foundation of a free society. But, this isn’t Capitalism. And I’ll explain this more below. This is a huge parental rights issue. Allowing the Government to take power over children away from their parents is completely wrong. Is it right that companies will be able to push vaccines on children without their parents knowledge?
